I’m currently working on two animated projects.
The first short is called “Gregor’s Dream”, and it’s about a night counselor and what happened to him one day.
Or rather one night.
It’s a project I’m developing in stop motion for which I made the puppets and I’m finishing the sets.
I also made 3 models of the protagonist, of different sizes, for different shots and sets.
It’s a project that’s taking me a bit of time from a pre-production point of view. For the visual rendering I’m trying to refer to German expressionist cinema both in terms of shots, colors, sets and atmospheres.
I modeled the protagonist himself trying to refer to the actor Peter Lorre.
The second project is also a short, but drawn entirely in 2D frame by frame.It will be called “the Guardian” and will essentially talk about the fear of the dark.
It is a long project, obviously, to which I am trying to give a very precise aesthetic connotation.
I would like them both to be ready by May-June. Then off to the various noir and horror themed festivals and competitions.
